Hi, I’m Amy Hooper — baker, pastry chef, and former educator. I graduated from the French Culinary Institute in 2011 with a degree in the Art of French Pastries, an incredible experience where I trained under top chefs and deepened my love for pastry and the craft of baking. While I loved every minute of it, I also had other passions I wanted to pursue, which led me into the field of education.
I went on to earn a master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University and spent the past eight years working at The Windward School. Teaching shaped the way I work—instilling patience, communication, structure, and a deep appreciation of preparation and mastery. Still, I always knew my heart would lead me back to the kitchen and to pastry.
Returning to baking feels like coming full circle. I’m a Scarsdale girl through and through—I grew up here, went to all the local schools, and chose to come back because I truly love the community that raised me. My goal is to create baked goods that feel intentional, comforting, and a little special—treats that bring people together and make everyday moments more meaningful.
When I’m not baking, you can usually find me learning French, singing (often show tunes), or diving into a creative project. I love theatre, music, interior design, traveling, a good coffee, the smell of fresh autumn air, and discovering new restaurants and flavors. Notting Hill is my all-time favorite movie, I miss the 90’s, French fries are my ultimate comfort food, hockey is the best sport, and Paris is my favorite city—I try to visit at least twice a year for inspiration, pastries, and a little magic.
At the heart of everything I do is a love for creating—whether it’s a beautifully crafted dessert or an experience worth savoring.
I’m so happy you’re here!
